Pronounced ‘hue-guh,’ this centuries old Danish word refers to a sense of intense well-being brought on by a place or experience emanating warmth, charm and coziness. This concept is at the core of Freya’s DNA.

Located in Center 1 on Brookside, Freya offers classic and re-invited dishes and libations from Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Due to the long and cold winters in the region, Scandinavian food features lots of preserving, smoking, and pickling and is known to feature a variety of simple, yet classic flavor profiles which produce delicious and hearty dishes. Chef Justin and his talented team, lead by Chef Kelsey Ihm, have created a menu that is both approachable and adventurous for diners to explore; expect to see plenty of familiar foods, but with a Nordic twist.
